For guests who cancel their booking, the refund amount depends on the refund policy set by the host for the reserved listing. We strive to provide a secure and efficient platform where guests are not inconvenienced by host cancellations. Therefore, all reservations are automatically confirmed, and hosts are expected to promptly confirm bookings to avoid any double bookings.
Host cancellations made after 24 hours of a confirmed booking are subject to a cancellation fee ranging from USD 50 to USD 100. We encourage hosts to maintain an up-to-date listing calendar to prevent any cancellations or schedule conflicts.
In the event of a cancellation by the host, Zuru Life Africa ensures that the guest receives a full refund. Guest cancellations are also subject to the refund policy set by the host, and refunds are processed accordingly.
Below are the available cancellation policies on Zuru Life Africa:
Easy: Guests receive a full refund when canceling a reservation one day before the check-in date. For cancellations on the check-in date, a partial refund is provided, excluding the first night and the service fee.
Moderate: Guests receive a full refund if they cancel a reservation within 24 hours after booking. For cancellations made after 24 hours, a 50% refund is provided for all nights booked.
30 Days Policy: Guests can receive a full refund by canceling a reservation at least 30 days before the check-in date. Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days before check-in result in a 50% refund for all nights, while hosts receive full payment.
Strict: Guests must cancel a reservation within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in to receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days before check-in entitle hosts to 50% payment for all nights, and cancellations after that result in full payment for all nights.
